What I've been most impressed about Sterling is not his pace or his trickery, but the fact that he shields the ball very well despite his small frame.

Definitely a world class player in the making. Absolutely no doubt about that. A new dawn at Anfield!

Definitely! How ironic it seems that we expected Carroll to be a great shielder of the ball, holding it up to bring others in - a 17 year old, half is his height, half his weight seems to do it much better + he's got pace, skill and finish ability. Not that Carroll doesn't have a lot of great qualities and can't be a big player for us, I just question why we made such a huge investment on a player like that, we should have trusted in the academy! Sterling and many others are proof it works!

Maybe, but given the ambition of the club and where we say we want to be in the future - you'd like to think Sterling will grow into the world-class player he'll be just as Liverpool make that breakthrough back into the big time, the CL and properly challenging in the league again. Also, you can see in the way he moves/looks/plays how big his football brain is - hopefully not just on the pitch. I think he'll only actually want to engineer a move if LFC don't move forward, and that sounds fair.

If he continues to get the right management he will one day become the worlds best player, you can see now at 17 that he is up there with the likes of Suarez and other top class players, he has the ability and plays like he is 37 not 17 he is so disciplined and mature for a kid..

walcott and especially lennon, whenever i have seen them this season, just run with no purpose and end up being cornered. Sterling has a great sense of awareness and always seems to play the best option. Plus, his crosses are inch perfect. Lennon annoys me when i am watching him because he seems all about pace, but doesnt know what to do with the ball. Walcott is playing for a club that want to pass the ball loads, but he ends up running too far away from other players, so passes get harder.

rodgers needs to piss off the wrong manager im not bothered about the results anymore they always have a rough patch and you need to give managers time in that aspect but hes turning liverpool into a fucking tv show and not a football team. i think he needs to focus on what liverpool is about the fans and the football
