absolutely mad performance in that penalty shootout from kelleher, more penalty saves in penalty shootouts that any other liverpool goalkeeper ever. mental, gonna be a hard talent to keep hold of as a second choice

That last save from Kelleher in the shootout was spectacular....he smashed it away! Ox, Joe & Nat, Doak, Harvey, Bobby....all really good. Keep winning in these competitions and it keeps the periphery players keen and sharp. Walk on!

Kelleher plays few games but plays a more important team role successfully than most starting keepers in the world

Bobby's penalty was not shown due to not let him down. Not listed in Brazilian WC squad is hard for him already.

Kelleher is beyond his years with wisdom and maturity. As much of a talent he is it’s a shame to see him lack game time. I would love for him to get a prem loan move next season to see him grow into a first team contender. Young Davis looks highly regarded in the England set up and by klopp and co. Exciting times, just a shame for the other keepers we have the best in the world at the moment 😂

How is that not a faul when the Derby keeper was ahead of the line before the kick? Obvious during the 1st Liv penalty

Kelleher needs more than just cup games. We need to either loan him out or sell with a buyback. I would sell but with an "ironclad" buyback clause.

The camerawork is, at times, absolutely maddening. The more camera movement you have, the poorer footage you have. Less camera movement = better footage. 8:21 Poor framing. Dobbins should've been on the right-most edge of frame when he kicked the ball, not in the middle of the frame. Also should have been zoomed back, reducing how much the camera would have to move to capture Kelleher's save. And when you did move the camera, there was no need to pan so far left, well beyond the back of the net. There was no need to yank the camera left to keep up with the ball. You only needed to pan left just far enough to get the goal in-frame. That would've greatly reduced the camera movement, and would've allowed viewers to appreciate the save more. Treat the camera like it's the viewer's head, not their eyes. You only move your head as much as necessary so your eyes can follow the action. When you watch TV, how much does your head move? Hardly at all. Meanwhile, your eyes are all over the place, easily capturing every movement. Treat the camera like it's the TV frame. As long as you are moving it as little as possible, the viewers eyes will be able to track any action, no matter how fast it is. The LFC camera people make the mistake of moving the camera like it's the viewer's eyes. Tracking the ball as viewers would with their eyes. But that makes for significantly less-watchable footage. If you're moving the camera at the speed of the ball, then the viewer is not seeing anything but blurs. 2:22 No need for all of this camera movement. Pan back so the entire (or most of the) goal is in frame. AFTER the shot, THEN zoom in on the player. 2:28 Again, no need for all of the camera movement. Pan back. Keep the player on the left side of the frame and the front of the goal on the right side. AFTER the shot by the player, THEN zoom in on him. Zoom out for action. Zoom in for (player) REaction. Your skill is not demonstrated by how quickly you can move the camera while tracking the ball. It's demonstrated by how little you have to move the camera so the viewer can track the ball themselves with their own eyes. The objective should NOT be to track every movement of the ball with the camera. It should be to keep the ball in-frame, with as little camera movement as possible. Also, understand where the action is and is not. For instance, there was absolutely no need to pan left, well beyond the back of the goal (like at 6:28 and 6:37). There's nothing happening behind the net that warrants being recorded. And certainly nothing worth sacrificing being able to see what's taking place on the pitch to the right. The rear of the net should barely have been in-frame on the left side. 7:23 Absolutely PERFECT footage. Know why? Because the camera didn't move. So the viewer was able to see EVERYTHING. Please, more of this.

I was saying In work today Kelleher, he is such a class keeper m, we are very lucky to have suck a classy number two who doesn’t moan and is always top class when he plays, I hate to say this because I would love him to stay, but he deserves more and he deserves to play week in week out. I love Alison but he’s here for another 3/4 years as our number 1 and I feel he will just waste being a number two for us. What do you guys think? Are my wrong?

As a Liverpool fan, an American, and someone fairly new to soccer (football), I have a question. Why is this knockout competition treated as "second class" such that the young guys and backups typically play over the stars and regulars? It seems that winning this cup, given that most/all English teams participate, would be a pretty big deal and a great accomplishment. I know Liverpool has won it many times, just asking. Thanks.

The League cup has always been the ‘second’ cup competition. The FA Cup was always the big one nationally as both league and amateur teams enter that one. With that said, Liverpool always played with their first team when I saw them win it at least four times in a row in the 80’s iirc. It’s only in more recent years that it’s been a youngish team. That’s been Klopp’s decision since he’s been here and, personally, I enjoy watching the youngsters. It seems that other teams do that somewhat too. It’s going to be interesting to see what happens next round as we drew Man City away. No doubt Kelleher will play but after that how strong will Klopp go? How long have you been a Liverpool fan? I’ve personally supported then for over 45 years so I’ve seen it all by now. Lots of great old videos on KZread where you can watch full matches from the 80’s and 90’s if you’re interested.

@@Mark-jagger I've just gotten into the sport watching Premier League games on Saturday and Sunday mornings on TV here. Probably in the last year. I've latched onto Liverpool as I love the atmosphere at Liverpool. I'm a huge college football fan here and Anfield seems to have that "college atmosphere" where the support comes nonstop, win or lose. Having a traditionally winning team doesn't hurt either, tons of history there.
