rumor is he's selling ings because he wants first team football and he cant get it in liverpool. even though their relationship is amazing he's not gonna risk the team by playing him and as he wants the best for ings he's letting him go.. Klopp is not stupid to risk his team's performance for a player he loves. but i think what u misinterpreted is that he believes in second chances so he doesnt burn/blame his players and ruin their careers

What an amazing example of professionalism James Milner is. Most players his age would be on their last legs, but not Milner. He's earned the right to still be playing for a top club at the top level and we're extremely lucky to have such a great utility player.
