agreed! if salah is out of form, nunez should step up but no, soboz should step up but no... especially about dominick, what does he even do.... he is not david silva who can take on 3 players nor he is de bruyne who has the ability to play defense splitting passes. Dominick is not seen as defensive minded CM, fucking hendo can pass the ball, he can score an important goal, but dominick doesn't seem to do anything important. I remembered when Ronaldo was still in man utd 2021/2022 and united were struggling both in champions league and in premier league, everyone could see it. They even got trashed by Liverpool home and away 9-0(5-0, at home, 4-0 away) in the premier league. But still in that mess of losses and disjointed play they were able to beat this same Atalanta and scrap through them in the group stages. Then i remembered everyone were hitting at them saying they were bullshit and were struggling to beat Atalanta. Now fast forward to 2024, here is Liverpool as at a month ago were favourites to win a treble just like that same season 2021/2022, were at the top of the league, playing good football but now see what Atalanta has done to them, in their home. You can predict football ⚽, what goes around, always comes around It's so unfortunate 🤷🏻‍♂️

I read the comments and am amazed by the Liverpool fans who do not know what the team’s problem is. I always blame the offensive line and I do not see anyone talking about the disastrous defense line in all matches. The mistake in every match is always caused by the defense line and wrong positioning. The problem is not Nunez, although I think he should be eliminated. I admit that he is strong and has a big role on the field. But he is unable to achieve his main goal on the field, which is to score goals. In the end, the main solution is to change the defense line system, include stronger elements, completely dispense with Arnold’s defensive role and include him in the midfield. This is my opinion as an Egyptian fan who loves Liverpool.

Tsimikas/Robbo is not found in the left defense, Van Dijk failed to block a pass from the left defense, followed by Joe Gomez and Konate who failed to overcome the players in front of goal. You are correct that Atalanta can be a dangerous team, as they've shown the ability to score goals and win games at the highest levels in recent years. Yet, somehow comparing them to a team that's won 7 Europa Leagues in the last 18 years, when they don't have a single international trophy (or even a domestic trophy outside of Serie B or its Copa Italia from the 1960's) seems a bit silly.
