Studge was a natural finisher, injuries hurt majority of his career but I'm glad he was here last year to win the UCL with us cuz he's alrdy won the epl with Chelsea so I'm not that sad about him missing out on that this year but he deserved last year's ucl for all the work he did for us in 2013/2014 alone. Liverpool legend for sure.

I have to disagree. Gerrard did not look completely comfortable in that deeper role and it showed during that slip. I remember a lot of people were saying the same thing at the time, that Gerrard is being played in the wrong position, a lot of other LFC players were being played out of position that season too.

@@thisisarmando8393 if i recollect correctly, the following season Brendan Rodgers was criticized for playing the likes of Sterling and Markovic in wingback position and playing Emre Can as a centre back in a back 3.Gerrard looked lethargic and his form dipped , could've been because of the world cup and the lack of morale in him because of all the things that happened (inferring to the slip and England's poor world cup campaign). But in 13/14 i didn't hear anyone complain about his position.

This was much more heartbreaking than the 2019 title loss. Mainly because of Gerrard and Suarez and that they won it in 2020 anyway

Reece Chambers Yeah fact, not only that but in 13/14 it was ours to lose. It was never in our hands in 18/19 and I feel even though we finished second there were more positives to take than negative. We were improving and we knew we’d be back next year to challenge. With Suarez departing and dead weight being signed I knew we’d be lucky to make top 4

The 13-14 team had a big chance but to be frank the defence was just too leaky as great as the attack was. I can’t really fault the 18/19 team because they would have won the league in literally ANY OTHER season. City were just absurdly good to win the last 14 matches in a row. That motivated us to walk the league in 19-20 and it wasn’t for a bloody Pandemic we would have been able to celebrate it properly with fans like we deserved to. Then City went back to being a machine and half our squad got injured last season...we can see how hard it is to win the league again. We still have a slim chance in 2022 but City seem to be back to 18-19 like form so it’s a tall order! I hope the wait for the next PL title won’t be so long.

Suarez against Norwich was always an interesting show.....😍 Especially the long range on Ruddy...😂😂

One thing or two I remembered about this season is that: 1. How ruthless Suarez in front of goal, 2. And that iconic Sturridge celebration when he scored. We may have missed the league title on that season because of that slip, but look at us 5 years later: We are the Champions of Europe, Champions of the World, and soon to be the Champions of England. Yanited fan here, sort of laughed but at the same time I felt so sorry for you lot when you didn’t win the league. You deserved the title. The front three were just phenomenal this year and Gerrard once again phenomenal turning out season after season of nine and 10 out of 10’s. Personally Suarez was a KILLER, just look at the finishes.

Don’t think there’s ever been a striker as lethal in premier league history as Suarez in this season. Made it look easy, unreal.

The most painfull season of my life...

A painful but very exciting season. Suarez, Sturridge, Sterling and Henderson season was crazy, easily their best individual season. Skrtel score quite alot of goals 😄

The goals Suarez scored this season was on a different level. Made it look so effortless and easy.

Oh yes, The 'SAS' season. (Suarez & Sturridge). One of my favourite seasons as a Liverpool fan despite how it ended. All newspapers and match of the day kept talking about Suarez and Sturridge. Really sad we didn't win that year. If we had a defender like Van Dijk or maybe if Rodgers didn't get rid of Reina we would have won the title.

Suarez was an absolute clinical assassin! I’ve never seen hunger and skill combined like that before!

That last game against Crystal Pallace breaks my heart. Suarez couldn't contain his tears as Crystal Pallace scored 2 goals and draw against Liverpool.

Suarez and Sturridge were so good that we almost won the league with a back 5 of Jose Enrique/Joe Flanagan, Daniel Agger, Martin Skrtel, Kolo Toure and Glen Johnson with Simon Mignolet in goal. That’s how good our attack was.

I'll always remember that volley that Suarez nearly scored against Arsenal. That would have been one of the best goals in the prem if that went in

The MOST exciting season in my 20 years of supporting the reds. Championship winning year was great (stable and we were controlling every game). But i went into every game in the 13/14 season (esp the second half) feeling so pumped and excited and like we could DESTROY every team in the first 20mins standing in our way.

Greatest ever premier league season by a player in Suarez. Imagine if he didn’t miss games and took pens. He would easily have 40+ goals.

Although we never won the league and with all the remarkable things klopp has done for liverpool, 13/14 is still my favourite season as a liverpool fan. Stevie G bossing it as an anchor, how incredible and vital Hendo was, SAS running rampant, flanagans goal v spurs and how random and unexpected our title charge was!! It’s such a shame we never won the league but that season will live long in my memory! YNWA ❤️

Luis Suarez was incredible this season. The quality of his goals, especially against Norwich City. Scored 30 plus 3 seasons running. Only other Liverpool player to do that in the Premier League era is Robbie Fowler.

This season was a rollercoaster. I remember I got depressed when we didn't win the title. I stopped watching football for a while after that season ended. But man, Suarez and Sturridge were every EPL defender's nightmare on that season.

Suarez's performance this season is far better than Salah And Torres combined

I vividly remember how I kept saying "our Luis this" "our Luis that" to people, even to strangers on the street. What a best time in my life. I never have such happiness ever since. He's just different. But sadly the season was meant to be forgotten lol. Lead by three goals with 10 mins remained and we would win the league.

This season will forever remain in my memory for all its bittersweet moments...

First season for me having TV channels to see every match, and what a way that was to absolutely fall in love with this team ❤
